Hello Powerful People!

One element that you need to take into 2020 is knowing who you are. It is so easy to focus on who we are not. All month I will challenge your thinking by encouraging you to affirm positive, life-giving thoughts. Speak these words over your life until you believe them and until they manifest!

Today, let’s focus on gratitude. We need to take time each day and ponder on life and the things in it for which we can give thanks. In today’s fast-paced society that includes a comparison of lifestyles, families, and goals, it can be easy to hone in on what we don’t have, or what we have not yet accomplished.

For our intents and purposes, “I Am” stands for inspiration, action, and momentum. You will need all three to be successful.

Inspiration

Be inspired by your home, your connections with other individuals, your talents and even your unique personality. If you’re struggling to be grateful, consider these points:

  • Be inspired by the world around you. Just take a look.
  • Take five minutes each day and reflect on everything you possess (externally/ internally).
  • Remember, you have more than you realize!

Action

Next, take action. The below practices need to occur daily. Once you’ve been inspired, do the following:

  • Write down or verbalize the things for which you are grateful.
  • Say “I am grateful for what I have and the ability to pursue and access the things I have not yet obtained.”

Momentum

Finally, build momentum. Believe it or not, as you regularly exhibit gratitude, the more you will have opportunities for which to be grateful. Build on that! Allow the emergence of beautiful situations in your life to fuel you. Your momentum is built through:

  • Repetition and consistency
  • Being persistent in demonstrating gratitude

An abundant life is a life built on the foundation of gratitude. Even if you don’t believe you are yet living your best, abundant life, you still have reasons to give thanks. Be thankful that you have been graced with the ability to change the trajectory of your life. Be grateful for life itself. It’s time-out for complaining. There is no more room for complacency.

Assume the position of gratitude and watch your life transform for the better, right before your eyes.

I would love to help you maintain a posture of gratitude. My Ease & Flow Journal can help you get there! Research suggests that you can reduce stress and anxiety, by writing your thoughts on paper and taking time to be grateful, every single day.

To Your Abundant Life,

Sophia
